Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
