Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
