Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
