Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
