Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
