The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

3 verses, revealed in Mecca after Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh) before The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By Al-'Asr (the time). 1 the human being is doomed to suffer loss, 2 except the righteously striving believers who exhort each other to truthful purposes and to patience. 3

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
