The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9
