The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
