The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 closed around them 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
