Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
