The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
