O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 who believe in the verses of their Lord; 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
