The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 covered down upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
