Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 roaring over the hearts 7 closed around them 8 in columns outstretched. 9
