The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 roaring over the hearts 7 closed around them 8 in outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
