Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
