Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
