The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 3 King of the Day of Judgement. 4 Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 5 Guide us to the straight path - 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured. Not of those on whom is indignation brought down, nor of the astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
