In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Alif, Lam, Mim, Sad. 1 This Book has been sent down to you, let there be no heaviness in your heart about it, so that you may warn by means of it and it is a reminder to the believers. 2 Follow that which is sent down toward you from your Lord, and follow not any patrons beside Him; yet little ye are admonished. 3 And many a township did We destroy – so Our punishment came to them at night or while they were sleeping at noon. 4 and when Our scourge fell upon them, their only cry was, "We were indeed wrongdoers!" 5 So We shall call to account those to whom Messengers were sent, and We shall call to account the Messengers (to see how dutifully they conveyed the Message, and how people responded to it). 6 So indeed We shall inform them with Our knowledge and We were not absent. 7 And the weighing will be just on that Day. Then those whose (deeds) are heavier in the balance will find fulfilment, 8 Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs. 9 And We have certainly established you upon the earth and made for you therein ways of livelihood. Little are you grateful. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
