To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? 100 Those cities We relate to thee tidings of; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, but they were not the ones to believe in that they had cried lies before; so God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. 101 We did not find the covenant upheld by the majority of them, but We found most of them evildoers. 102 Then, after them, We sent Moses with our tokens unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they repelled them. Now, see the nature of the consequence for the corrupters! 103 And Musa said: O Fir'awn! I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds; 104 duty-bound to say nothing about God but the truth, and I have brought you a clear sign from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with me." 105 Pharaoh said: if you have brought a sign, then bring it forth if you are truthful.' 106 So he threw his rod, then lo! it was a clear serpent. 107 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 108
