Has it not become clear to those who inherited the earth after its [previous] people that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins? But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear. 100 Such were the townships. We relate some tidings of them unto thee (Muhammad). Their messengers verily came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they could not believe because they had before denied. Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers (that they hear not). 101 We did not find most of them true to their covenants; indeed We found most of them to be transgressors. 102 Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 103 Moses told the Pharaoh, "I am a Messengers from the Lord of the Universe. 104 duty-bound to say nothing about God but the truth, and I have brought you a clear sign from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with me." 105 [Pharaoh] said, "If you come with a sign, then produce it, if you are telling the truth." 106 So Moses threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent, manifest. 107 and he drew forth his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 108
