The chiefs of Firon's people said: most surely this is an enchanter possessed of knowledge: 109 who desires to expel you from your land; what do you command?' 110 They said: Put him off and his brother, and send collectors into the cities: 111 To bring each knowing wizard unto thee. 112 And the enchanters came to Firon (and) said: We must surely have a reward if we are the prevailing ones. 113 He answered: Yes, and surely ye shall be of those brought near (to me). 114 The magicians asked Moses, "Will you throw your staff first or shall we?" 115 He [Musa (Moses)] said: "Throw you (first)." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them, and they displayed a great magic. 116 And We inspired to Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured what they were falsifying. 117 ۞ So the truth came to pass, and false was proved what they were doing. 118 And thus were they vanquished there and then, and became utterly humiliated. 119 and the magicians flung themselves prostrate, 120 They said: "We believe in the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 121 The Lord of Moses and Aaron. 122 But Pharaoh said: "You have come to accept belief in Him without my permission! This surely is a plot you have hatched to expel the people from the land. You will soon come to know. 123 I will cut off your hands and feet on alternate sides and then crucify you all!" 124 They said: Lo! We are about to return unto our Lord! 125 And what is it for which thou takest vengeance on us save that we have believed in the signs of our Lord when they came unto us? Our Lord! pour out upon us perseverance and cause us to die as Muslims. 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
