And [thereafter,] indeed, We assigned unto the children of Israel a most goodly abode, and provided for them sustenance out of the good things of life. And it was not until knowledge [of God's revelation] was vouchsafed to them that they began to hold divergent views: [but,] verily, thy Sustainer will judge between them on Resurrection Day regarding all on which they were wont to differ. 93 So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. 94 And be not thou of those who belie Allah's signs, lest thou be of the losers. 95 Those against whom the word of thy Lord hath been verified would not believe- 96 even if they witness every single sign that might come to them until they are face to face with the painful chastisement, 97 Why did no one except the people of Jonah believe (in their punishment before their death) so that they could have benefitted from their faith? When the people of Jonah believed, We saved them from a disgraceful torment in this life and provided them with the means of enjoyment for an appointed time. 98 If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe! 99 It is not for any person to believe, except by the Leave of Allah, and He will put the wrath on those who are heedless. 100 Say, "Observe what is in the heavens and earth." But of no avail will be signs or warners to a people who do not believe 101 Do they watch and wait for anything except for days similar to those who passed away before them? Say: 'Wait; I shall be with you among those who are waiting' 102 Thereafter We delivered Our apostles and those who believed. Even so, as incumbent upon us, We deliver the believers. 103
