The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Laam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). 2 the pious who believe in the unseen, attend to prayer, give in charity part of what We have granted them; 3 And who believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 4 They have found the guidance of their Lord and will be successful. 5 As for those who are bent on denying the truth, it makes no difference to them whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom. 7
