Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders. 16 and have protected them against every accursed satan 17 so that anyone who seeks to learn [the unknowable] by stealth is pursued by a flame clear to see. 18 As for the earth, We have stretched it out and have cast on it firm mountains, and have caused to grow in it everything well-measured. 19 And created livelihoods for you in it, and created those for whom you do not provide the sustenance. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing, then send down water from the cloud so We give it to you to drink of, nor is it you who store it up. 22 And surely, it is We who give life and make to die. We are the Inheritor. 23 We know the ones of you who press forward, and We know the laggards; 24 and, behold, it is thy Sustainer who will gather them all together [on Judgment Day]: verily, He is Wise, All-Knowing! 25
