And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape. 26 And the jinn did We create aforetime of essential fire. 27 And when your Lord said to the angels: Surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 then the angels all prostrated themselves together. 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What happened to you that you stayed apart from those who prostrated?” 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 Allah said: then get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art one damned. 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 The Lord said, "Your request is granted 37 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 40 God said, "This is the path which leads straight to Me. 41 Verily as for My bondmen, no authority shalt thou have over them, except the erring one who follow thee. 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 It has seven gates; for every gate is of them a portion designated." 44
