Man We fashioned from fermented clay dried tingling hard, 26 And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire. 27 Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 then the angels all prostrated themselves together. 30 But Iblis did not; he refused to be with the prostrates. 31 Said He: "O Iblis! What is thy reason for not being among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He said it was not for me that I should prostrate myself unto a human being whom Thou hast created from ringing clay of loam moulded. 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 Condemned till the day of Doom!" 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error, 39 except those of Your servants whom You have singled out for Yourself." 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 Over My true servants you will be able to exercise no power, your power will be confined to the erring ones, those who choose to follow you. 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them." 44
