Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 45 "Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told). 46 We shall strip away all rancour that is in their breasts; as brothers they shall be upon couches set face to face; 47 There no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave. 48 ۞ Announce, (O Muhammad) unto My slaves that verily I am the Forgiving, the Merciful, 49 And that My Torment is indeed the most painful torment. 50 And inform them of the guests of Ibrahim: 51 [how,] when they presented themselves before him and bade him peace, he answered: "Behold, we are afraid of you!" 52 They said, “Do not fear we convey to you the glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.” 53 He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings? 54 They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." 55 He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, excepting those that are astray?' 56 He added: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 57 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 58 Except Lot's family, of whom we shall save all, 59 excepting only his wife, [of whom God says,] 'We have ordained [that,] behold, she should be among those who stay behind!' 60

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
