And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Stretch not thine eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy; and do not sorrow for them, and lower thy wing unto the believers, 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 As to what they did. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
