The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
