The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
