The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 As to what they did. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
