And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
