The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 Those who broke the Word of Allah into several parts. (Those who broke the Torah / Bible or changed its text – or those who called the Qur’an a fabrication / poetry.) 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
