It is He who sends down to you out of heaven water of which you have to drink, and of which trees, for you to pasture your herds, 10 He groweth for you thereby the corn and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Verily therein is a sign for a people who ponder. 11 He has made the night and the day and the sun and the moon subservient to you; and all the stars are subservient to His command. Surely in this there are signs for men of understanding. 12 All that He has created for you on the earth are of different colors. In this there is evidence of the Truth for the people who take heed. 13 And He it is Who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships cleaving through it, and that you might seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks. 14 He set firm mountains upon the earth lest it should shake with you; and rivers, and roads, in order that you are guided. 15 And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves. 16 So, could one who creates be like one who cannot? Will you not then contemplate? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 Allah has knowledge of all that you hide and all that you reveal. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
