۞ BEHOLD, God enjoins justice, and the doing of good, and generosity towards [one's] fellow-men; and He forbids all that is shameful and all that runs counter to reason, as well as envy; [and] He exhorts you [repeatedly] so that you might bear [all this] in mind. 90 And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have made a covenant, and do not break the oaths after making them fast, and you have indeed made Allah a surety for you; surely Allah knows what you do. 91 And be not like her who unravels her yarn, disintegrating it into pieces after she has spun it strongly. You make your oaths to be means of deceit between you because (one) nation is more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only tries you by this; and He will most certainly make clear to you on the resurrection day that about which you differed. 92 Had God wanted, He would have made you one single nation but He guides or causes to go astray whomever He wants. You will certainly be questioned about what you have done. 93 Do not consider your oaths as a means of deceit lest you damage the firmness of your faith, suffer from evil by creating obstacles in the way that leads to God, and incur a great torment upon yourselves. 94 And do not exchange the covenant of Allah to procure an abject price; that which is with Allah is better for you, if you know. 95 What you have shall pass away, but what is with God is lasting. We will certainly give those who are patient their reward according to the best of their actions. 96 Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions. 97 When you read the Quran, seek God's protection from Satan, the rejected one. 98 Behold, he has no power over those who have attained to faith and in their Sustainer place their tray trust: 99 His authority is over those only, who take him as patron and who join partners with Allah. 100
