And never say of anything, "I shall do such and such thing tomorrow." 23 Except [when adding], "If Allah wills." And remember your Lord when you forget [it] and say, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct." 24 And they remained in their cave for three hundred years and exceeded by nine. 25 (Muhammad), say, "God knows best how long they stayed there; to Him belongs the unseen of both the heavens and the earth. How clear is His sight and how keen His hearing! No one other than Him is their guardian and no one shares His Judgment. 26 Read whatever is revealed to you from the Book of your Lord. No one can change His words and you can never find any refuge other than Him. 27 And endure thy self in the company of those who call upon their Lord in the morning and evening seeking His countenance, and let not thine eyes rove from them seeking the adornment of the life of this world, and obey thou not him whose heart We have made to neglect Our remembrance, and who followeth his lust, and whose affair is exceeding the bound. 28 And say: "The truth [has now come] from your Sustainer: let, then, him who wills, believe in it, and let him who wills, reject it." Verily, for all who sin against themselves [by rejecting Our truth] We have readied a fire whose billowing folds will encompass them from all sides; and if they beg for water, they will be given water [hot] like molten lead, which will scald their faces: how dreadful a drink, and how evil a place to rest! 29 As to those who believe and work righteousness, verily We shall not suffer to perish the reward of any who do a (single) righteous deed. 30 Those, they shall live in the Gardens of Eden, underneath which rivers flow. They shall be adorned with bracelets of gold and arrayed in green garments of silk, and brocade, reclining therein on couches; how excellent is their reward and how fine is their resting place! 31
