T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
