T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
