T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
