'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 Make my task easy 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron my brother 30 To strengthen me 31 and let him share my task 32 so that we may glorify 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
