[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we exalt You 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
