Do not those who deny the truth see that the heavens and the earth were joined together and that We then split them asunder? And that We have made every living thing out of water? Will they still not believe? 30 We placed stabilisers in the earth so that as it revolved with them you lived undisturbed; and We provided passageways between them so that men may find their way; 31 We made the sky above them as a well-guarded ceiling, but they have neglected the evidence (of Our existence) therein. 32 And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating. 33 AND [remind those who deny thee, O Prophet, that] never have We granted life everlasting to any mortal before thee: but do they, perchance, hope that although thou must die, they will live forever?" 34 Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned. 35 When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this," (they say), "the one who talks of your gods?" and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious! 36 Man is hasty by nature. I shall certainly show you My Signs. Do not ask Me to be hasty. 37 They say: "When will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?" 38 If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped! 39 That will suddenly come upon them and stupefy them. They shall not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be granted any respite. 40 And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule. 41
