۞ We had earlier given Abraham true direction, for We knew him well. 51 When he said to his father and his people, “What are these idols before whom you squat (worshipping)?” 52 They answered: "We found our forefathers worshipping them." 53 He said: Verily ye and your fathers were in plain error. 54 They said: Have you brought to us the truth, or are you one of the triflers? 55 He said: "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them and of that I am one of the witnesses. 56 By Allah, I shall certainly carry out my plan against your gods after you are gone." 57 Then he made them fragments, all except the big one of them, that haply unto it they may return. 58 They said: who hath wrought this to our gods? verily he is of the wrong-doers. 59 They said: We heard a youth speak of them, who is called Ibrahim. 60 [The others] said: "Then bring him before the peoples eyes, so that they might bear witness [against him]!" 61 They said: Is it thou who hast done this to our gods, O Abraham? 62 He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak." 63 Then they turned to themselves and said: Surely you yourselves are the unjust; 64 Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!" 65 Abraham said: "Do you, then, worship beside Allah a thing that can neither benefit you nor hurt you? 66 "Fie upon you, and upon the things that ye worship besides Allah! Have ye no sense?".. 67 They cried: Burn him and stand by your gods, if ye will be doing. 68 We said: O fire! be thou cool and peace unto Ibrahim. 69 Then they sought a stratagem against him: but We made them the ones that lost most! 70 for We saved him and Lot, [his brother's son, by guiding them] to the land which We have blessed for all times to come. 71 And We bestowed on him Isaac and, as an additional gift, (a grandson), Jacob, and We made righteous men of every one (of them). 72 And We made them chiefs who guide by Our command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds and the right establishment of worship and the giving of alms, and they were worshippers of Us (alone). 73 To Lot We gave wisdom and knowledge, and saved him from a people who acted villainously and were certainly wicked and disobedient. 74 And We admitted him to Our Mercy, truly, he was of the righteous. 75

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
