The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 who observe Zakah; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
