The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
