The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
