The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
