The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
