The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
